Stopped by tonight for dinner after at least a year since my last visit. I on my way I had told my friend that we were headed to a hole in the wall with good food but when we got there I noticed that they have renovated. New awnings and signage, fresh paint inside and nicer tables and chairs. The building is historic and has its own charm now that it has been cleaned up. Parking wasn't an issue at 7:30-8PM on a Saturday night. Plenty of it. The neighborhood isn't the greatest (if you go a block in any direction it can look a little rough but on Bryan near Vietnam there are no real concerns. No complaints about the service but I did find it odd that they did not bring me a check and my waiter disappeared after we got our to go box. When I asked a waitress she said something about paying at the cashier so we went up and had to tell them what we had. I don't remember that being an issue last time but it was late and well over a year ago.
Pros: Good food, low prices.
Cons: Confusion over check.
