I've been going to this neighborhood joint for quite some time, and although the service and drinks (beer, wine, etc.) are holding up pretty well, the food has taken a nose dive. Last night I was with my sister, her husband, and their 8-yr. old, and while the kid enjoyed her chicken fingers, the rest of the meal was horrible. He had a reuben, which he described as average (OK, he is the director of sales for a major Raleigh hotel, but still), she had a crabcake sandwich and said the cakes were more bread than crab, and I had the highly touted meatloaf platter with green beans and mashed potatoes. The green beans were canned, squishy school lunch beans, the potatoes were flavorless and cold, and the meatloaf was Spam wannabe. Very horrible. The one redeeming feature was that the service was good and fast, and as always, the drinks were good.
Pros: Great beer selection, decent service, nice outside seating
Cons: Food. Ick.
