I brought my guinea pig in because another vet told me it would be between 500 and 700 dollars to remove a tumor on him and he might have cancer. My husband brought him to the Greenbriar and was going to put him down, and the Vet there disagreed with the diagnosis and asked if he could keep him for a few days and keep an eye on him. Well the tumor fell off during his stay their and it was NOT cancerous ! He did not charge us a dime and even offered to adopt him if we did not want him back!!!
Also a lesson learned: ALWAYS get a second opinion!
