We went for restaurant week summer '08. The restaurant is very quiet which is nice - you can talk to your friends without yelling. This is handy when you are seated at a very large semi circle booth as we were. The service is fine, professional and mildly friendly. The food was very good, I have no complaints. It was not the most exciting food I've eaten but the overall experience including the decor and ambience make it worth a trip. The infused vodkas are excellent and a must try. The bartender is a bit low key and the bar was very quiet on a Thursday night but I liked that. It's hard to find a bar you can actually sit at and relax. This place is definitely a throwback that attracts an older crowd but we had a good time. We had chicken kiev, pork chop, salmon in puff pastry, some salads and pierogis. All were enjoyed. Wine list is comprehensive with lots of choices around $50/bottle.
Pros: Decor, food, service
Cons: A slightly boring atmosphere
