We had a new AC installed and the compressor went out while it was stilll under warranty (after 18 months). When we called to get it replaced, they quoted $1,544 labor. (the labor warranty was for 12 months and the parts warranty was for 5 years).\r

I had someone else look at the problem and they said it would take about 3 hours labor. When I asked Strand Brothers if they would order the replacement compressor from Lennox, they refused.\r

Make sure you understand the warranty terms if you do business with Strand Brothers.
