We stayed over the 4th of July weekend. Had been to this hotel many times. Our visit prior to this was Dec. 06. Must be new management. We noticed a marked decline in cleanliness of our room and professionalism of staff. We opted for a king bed with suite. Upon opening the door to our room, we were smacked in the face with a overwhelming urine odor. Human or pet, who knows. We thought it emanated from the washroom, so asked the front desk to have housekeepng clean the washroom. Odor still overpowered us for our entire 4 day stay. Air condtioning unit rattled when on. Bed smelled like ""guy"" sweat. We avoided the blanket and bedspread, so it must be in the mattress pad. Yuck!\r
When we took advantage of the continental breakfast, there was an attendant leaning on the desk(counter at check in/check out) that was more interested in reliving the night before that assisting any patrons. My husband needed some help with the wafflemaker and she chose to scream the directions to him across the small breakfast room, rather than do her job and walk over and help. After her conversation with other staff was complete, this same women sat down with a male employee and had a little coffee klatch for a good 20 minutews while we finished breakfast. Between her coffee and conversation, she served her male coworker some breakfast and took in the local morning news on tv. This hotel really needs to step it up to remain competitive.
