I recently joined 24 hour in Lynnwood due to an unbeatable 0 to join, 22 a-month-membership. I had been to this gym before but must have forgotten how horrible the gym is kept. I attend about 4-5 times a week between the hours of 10pm-12am. I enjoy this time as its worked with my schedule in the past, and everything was always nice and orderly to help me breeze through my workout. Not 24 Lynnwood. This place is by far the worst kept gym in the area. I have been working out in gyms for over 20 years and this place seems to not even realize its running a gym. Its almost as if they bought stuff, set it up once and said ""Screw it, hopefully the members can keep up with the maintenance."" \r
I don't have much experience with the day staff there, but there is a ""less-then-friendly"" night shift attendent who cares more about his computer then smiling to incoming customers. Sometimes I will wait in the car till he leaves the desk to scan my own card as he is that ""unapproachable"". \r
The ""clientel"" is less then desirable as there are usually about 20 or so 18-24 year old guys playing pick up basketball that can be less then cordial when using the gym, of course I guess that comes with the area of Lynnwood. Needless to say, I keep an eye on my car as I hear not so pleasant stories about crime in the parking lot\r
My biggest complaint however with 24 Hour Lynnwood is two things. One...not enforcing simple health code rules. No individual should be permitted in the gym with open toe'd shoes/sandals on. I see this everyday. It is not only gross, but a Health Code Violation. Second I also see a nice list of gym etiquette rules 24 has created, that goes uncheck. The worst is, (Please Wipe Down Machine) I have only 3 times gone to a spray bottle that should contain cleaner/disinfectant to clean off a machine that actually contains cleaner/disinfectant. This I feel goes back to the computer toting Night Door Man. Enjoy your YouTube while I enjoy my MRSA.
Pros: Cheap if You get a good deal.
Cons: Hygiene, Staff
