The SCUBA instruction itself is solid, but the instructor of our class did not foster a very friendly atmosphere. I found him to be judgmental and irritable. He would sometimes berate other students for simple mistakes, which made for a very uncomfortable and unfriendly learning environment. For me, this really took the fun out of learning SCUBA. There are other places in Boston to learn SCUBA, and I wish I would have tried one of those instead.
Pros: knowledgeable staff
Cons: grouchy instructor; not very enjoyable
