I've been a regular here for years and while the food is generally very good, the service has always been absurdly slow (plan to be there for over an hour, and you'll have to ask for the check, usually more than once). The food was good enough that I've planned around the service issue (I only go if I know I don't have a post-lunch appointment). But the latest incident at what used to be one of my staple lunch spots will cause me to drop it from my list and head across the street to the cozier, and slightly pricier, El Basha. After ordering sandwiches ""with no cheese"" and I actually say ""no cheese"" for over 4 years from this eatery, I bit into a cheese filled sandwich this afternoon. I know I'm probably less ""tolerant,"" than others, but I think that any eatery in business today should be able to understand the significance of someone ordering something ""without cheese (or anything else)"" -- for most of us, it's because we can't eat it. It makes us sick. The ""slow"" service has taken on a whole new meaning. If you have to wait 30 minutes for a sandwich, they should at least get the order right.
