I've dined at Nectar on several occasions and each time the food has been great! It is a little out of the way coming from the city, but when I know I'm in the area, I like to stop in. The last time visit, we had a group of twelve. The server recommended an assorted selection of sushi, sashimi, potstickers, crab cakes and spring rolls, a great choice for the numerous palates at the table. There was something for everyone. The sushi is good (I recommend the foie gras sushi, one of my personal favorites) I have also tried the filet and short rib combination, the filet was cooked to perfection, however the short rib was a tad on the dry side. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself. The noise level is a little much for it to be romantic, but it does have a nice ambience. The bar tends to get packed later into the evening. I have been please with the service and food each time I've been there. I can see where other reviewers say ""it's pretentious"", you kind of have to know that when you come, apparently it's the 'place' for the Mainline moms to be seen on a Friday night.I have always come with great company and haven't really noticed much.
