This is my first online review, motivated by just how great this place is. Being a graphic designer who lives nearby, I had used Lauretta Printing before and they were always friendly and competent, but recently they really saved the day. I had a last-minute rush job involving a brochure and some 17 x 11 glossies for a client who demands top quality even on short notice. My hand-over deadline was on Saturday for an event that night, so I needed everything printed up Friday on the spot. I phoned Lauretta?s that morning and they said OK, come by around 3. Because I was designing like mad up until the last second, I didn?t make it there till 4 but the owner Joe Lauretta said no problem. He ended up staying open over half an hour late to finish the job and still gave me a large-quantity discount. He ran print tests on various papers without charging me, so that I could pick which looked best. The large glossies turned out perfect, and the brochures came out beautifully printed and saddle-stitched. He trimmed them once according to my instructions, and when I realized I wanted an additional trim, he did that at no extra charge. While I was there, a teenager came in wanting to send copies of his Social Security card and driver?s license to some place overseas. Joe Lauretta wisely questioned the kid as to where exactly he was sending this stuff, and when the kid admitted he didn?t quite know, he just had a fax number, Joe convinced him to drop the idea unless it could be determined the business was legit. Obviously, this kid was about to get his identity stolen, and Joe Lauretta saved him from it. He also saved me, because my super-rushed project ended up looking perfect and my client was thrilled.
Pros: Extremely helpful, friendly, hard-working, conscientious professionals.
Cons: Not open on weekends.
