Wow, what a great experience I had last night with a public opinion poll. I received a call from Intercept Research and I was surprised, because I am on the no-call list. When I asked why I was being called, the gentleman apologized and indicated that people often confuse telemarketing companies who sell products with companies who conduct public opinion polls (he said ""some people really get mad and threatening when they are called""). He explained to me that the no-call list only applies to telemarketers and then he asked me if I would be willing to participate in the survey anyway, I agreed. The survey was very interesting (wildlife preservation was the topic) and the itnerviewer was very courteous and professional during the questioning. At the end of the survey he offered to place my telephone number on a no-contact list maintained by the company and gave me the customer contact telephone number of the main office - if I had any additional questions. This interviewer was helpful and the experience was informative. I felt like my opinion really counted. Thanks to companies like Intercept.
