ArtsWest has had an amazing transformation in the last 2 years. Now producing plays and musicals that used to be the providence of the Rep (and overproduced as always), the work is just tremendous. I don't know how they do it, but they are also the best value in the market. I bought season tickets this year for the first time. At about $24 a ticket, they do work that is better than the Rep, Intiman, or ACT -- and all three charge more than double that ticket price. Great restaurants within 2 blocks of the theater and get this, parking is free. I come from Capitol Hill -- it's only 15 minutes by car or 20 by bus. Get rid of all your other subscriptions -- ArtsWest is the best deal in Seattle!
