Worst Customer Service on 7 Continents 7/14/2008

My son and I stopped in to get a slice on July 9th. We had been to the shop several times in the past for a slice or a cheese steak and found the food to be decent and the service prompt. While we were ordering, my son and I were exchanging some banter with each other (my son is 21) and at one point I told my son ""Shut up boy"" at which point he started laughing (it's an old joke from our time in North Carolina). As soon as I said those words, it was like a switch flipped in the proprieter's head and he began telling me that I was a ""[f**ked up father"" that his father who had died when he was young would never ""yell"" at him. I apologized for upsetting him and tried to explain that my son and I often joke around which only seemed to agitate this individual all the more causing him to become more vehement and profane by the second. I told him that he could forget about the order and that we would see ourselves out of his restaurant. My son, who works in the food service industry as an assistant manager, stated to the proprieter that he couldn't believe the verbal attack on a paying customer and was surprised that someone who swears at customers could actually stay in business. My son also stated that people in the service industry should not include themselves in customers' conversations. These remarks sent the proprieter into a rage at which point he began hurling expletives at us as we went out the door. We got into our car to leave and the proprieter followed us out and hurled a cup full of soda at my car. My son was trying to get out to confront the proprieter so I grabbed his arm and told him we were leaving. As we were backing out of the parking lot, the proprieter came out and threw another cup of soda and ice at my car. Cons: The proprieter is a thug more
