I was visiting some friends and I decided to start buying some fish to give as a gift. I saw that the only specialty/pet store was Pet Extreme and I decided to go there. I saw that there was no fish variety. Most of the tanks were empty and some fish in many of the tanks were dead already! There was a big tank with small school fish and the tank was not covered and a couple of fish jumped out on the floor. The person in charge was not acting. When I brought it to the associate's attention he just got the fish and dumped it although the fish were still alive! I was horrified. I finally decided to buy freshwater fish; I've had tons of pet fish and from 10 years of experience I have never seen a fish die so quickly after i bough it. The fish died the very next day and when I brought it to the attention of the associates they told me that it was probably my fault or my water. I come from a city where water is chlorinated and from my friends (locals) I know that this city does not have clorine treated water --they've had fish in this water even without treatment. Nevertheless I bought water treatment but the fish did not even make it through the night. The management of the store did not even care and said there was no guarantee! I know for a fact any other store gives you your money back or replaces the fish within a reasonable but NOT this one. I was pretty upset and although I was thinking of getting a big tank for a friend's daughter (accessories, etc) I won't get it from there--they lost a BIG sale and various cutomers over such an insignificant thing. The people held it really badly and rudely. Personally I have my own store where I shop and all the people are pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. I would reather go to a Petco or Petsmart in another city than set foot in this place again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE.
Cons: No variety, small, limited staff, bad management, horrible customer service
