I am a former competitive figure skater, so I've seen basically everything when it comes to strength, cardio, and fitness training. I'm also a doctoral student in Kinesiology, so I pay close attention to things like form, instruction, etc. I haven't had the time or the motivation to go to the gym because I've found it to be mind-numbingly boring... when I took classes at the gym, the instructors just pushed through everything with no regard to form, technique or quality.
Pros: quality of instruction and workout, great facilities
Cons: realizing how out of shape you are as you sweat and shake your way through class :)
