The last reviewer sounds just as ""toxic"" as the alleged fish her friend was served. I have been going to Baba Yega practically since it opened in the 70's. The staff is always friendly and fun. It's a great place to take people b/c the menu is so eclectic - awesome burgers, good, fresh vegetarian food and wonderful entrees that can compete with any restaurant in the neighborhood. The wilted spinach salad with grilled salmon is the best salad I've ever had in Houston. I also recommend the chicken caesar or the veggie club - even if you're not vegetarian - it's amazing. When other restaurants are becoming more the same as the world becomes more Corporate, Baba Yega is a one-of-a-kind neighborhood gem.
