not good for men like my husband to re-enter society. 7/28/2008

My husband finished his time there where they promise to help them with life skills when they return home. It wasnt the life skills they are needing. They (inmates ) need help with job placement when they get out of this so called RE-ENRTY!!!! The day my husband was released from this facility, completely LOST!!!! Had no idea what to do except go look up his buddies he had on the ""OUTS"". OH! Lets go right back to the thugs that you got into trouble with before..... what i'm trying to say is .... when that is all they know... what do you think thay are going to return to doing? They need help with there confidence! These men are broken down!!! Offer THERAPY * JOB SKILLS* HANDS ON TRAINING* and the list goes on and on.. About therepy, theses men have lost evreything once they are in these places, and yes it is there faul Teach them how to love and be loved again. It would help!!! Im just saying that the program you have there now IS NOT WORKING!!!!!! My husband couldn't finish a full year of reporting parole, but can do a 2 year sentence like it is no problem. Then its time to start looking for a job and help pay the bills and he honestly looked at me like I was crazy. He had absolutely no idea even where to begin and suffered from anxiety from this on a daily basis. Maybe it was just him and the word ""JOB"" just absolutely terrified him. I can say that a few more months of reporting and he would of been done with all of it. He now will be arriving shortly to do the remainder of his sentence. RE_ENTRY does not get them ready for anything. Time-cuts more freedom to roam around that is it They need to change the name if they aren't going to really help these men or they will forever be in and out of the system. more
