I had been going to this salon for several years. It was near my father's office and the prices were reasonable. I got haircuts and had my hair straightened and permed. Recently, I had my hair permed there (about a year ago). A few months later, I saw the curls were coming out and flattening. I decided I did not want to re-wave it, that I would just get it straightened back to the way it used to be. I went to the salon and I asked if I could have a discount since the waves didn't even stay in my hair a year like they said it would. They said they would charge me $180 for the straight perm. I don't think it was a discount but I just wanted my hair to look nice again. It was just frizzy at that point. So after getting my hair straightened, they asked if I wanted it cut and I said no. A couple of days later, after washing it, I saw that it wasn't straight! I went back to the salon and it had kinks and waves in it and they said they would do a touchup to fix it up for free. They basically just did the whole thing over again and it was another 4 hours of my life. They asked me again if I wanted a cut and I said yes. As I was leaving, I retipped the people who did the touch up even though I shouldn't have. And the owner, Joy, told me I had to pay for the haircut. I didn't understand why they didn't tell me I had to pay before I got it. I thought it was free because they offered it to me for free the first time and didn't tell me anything about a charge that time. They weren't reasonable. Anyway, my hair still wasn't straight after that. I returned to the salon and asked why it wasn't straight. They said it wouldn't be because it was permed before. And I was so upset that they hadn't told me it wouldn't be straight before I paid $180+ for getting a straight perm. I never went back there again and I do not plan to.
Pros: good haircuts
Cons: bad service, bad personalities, bad vibe, crowded salon, unreasonable stingy staff
