Not what I expect it! 7/16/2008

My 3 years old daughter attend the dance class at Linda Larma & Daughter Academy of Dance once a week for about 5 weeks now and my daughter is enjoying it but I don't (I know it's selfish) because it's hard to enjoy watching my daughter in a small monitor. I thought that I can watch my daughter in action (dancing) clearly but I'm watching in the small monitor, it hurt my eyes! My friend who is in LA, she bring her daughter in one of the dance studio and they have a one mirror way and it's wide (maybe you know what I'm talking about, like the one at american kids) so that you can watch your child dancing. I'm also dis-appointed with small waiting area for the parents, it gets very crowded during the dance session. I know, i'm comparing LA to Bakersfield but parents like me always want to see our child's progress. Of course the dance studio is big enough for the children to dance. I also noticed that you need to mark your childs dance shoes, Ballet slippers specially (clever idea, I thought) otherwise if the instructor put the ballet slippers in the wrong dance bag (which your child don't know that because they thought all ballet slippers are the same). Your child will end up having an old and dirty ballet slippers. The instructor doesn't mind it because they said, "it happened all the time" it's unfair to get an old and dirty pair compare to your child's neat, new and clean pair, not to mention the wrong size, then you end up buying a new pair. To all parents, check your child's dance shoes bag before going home to make sure you get the right ballet slippers because with the economy right now, everything is expensive! Pros: Nice size Dance class room and enrollment was good. Cons: Waiting are small and monitor isn't that clear (too small to watch). more
