Hidden within a shopping center Oami's Japanese Restaurant is something I just recently discovered in Lake Forest. Usually people don't stop along El Toro Road though the new developments have garnered more interest. This sushi restaurant though has a great menu and the service is very good. There seemed to be a full sushi bar when I went (which isn't uncommon at Japanese Restaurants) and the chefs were very friendly when we walked in and when we left. We were able to beat the rush and get seats. Personally I'd recommend the Chirashi bowl, a bowl of the various fish, seaweed, rice, shrimp, and something else I'm forgetting. Their pricing is pretty good and the servings are enough to split between two people depending on what you get. Overall it was a nice experience and I wouldn't mine going back again to try something else on the menu.
