I work in Green Hills, was starving at 5pm and didn't want to cook my own dinner. I ordered take out from Shalimar and dropped by on my way home. I had ordered Palak Paneer, Channa Masala and Garlic Naan. I was astonished to pay $22 for the teeny-tiny side-order portions of the 2 dishes and some greasy, pizza-bread like thing that didn't remotely resemble any naan I've ever seen. I was so shocked I almost turned around and took it back, but I was so hungry I couldn't find the energy. The Paneer was decent, the Channa Masala I can make better myself and the bread was confusing, awful and disappointing. Naan is a flatbread, chewy in texture and definitely not dripping in oil.\r

I have dined at hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurants around the world that were far better and have also enjoyed Michelin-starred Indian restaurants in London that were more reasonably priced. What a shame and shame on you Shalimar for such outrageous prices and minimal effort on your part. Never again!
