This was the best Indian food I've ever tasted.\r
Priced Higher than average, but well worth it.\r
\r
Every dish our birthday party of five ordered, be it vegetable, lamb or chicken (next time, I'll try the fish!), was prepared with artful skill and loving care.\r
\r
The seasonings were tasty without being overwhelming, the sauces...well, you wanted to use every scrap of rice and/or bread to sop them up.\r
Ahhh, the breads, pappadam, rice - they too were made with care...\r
The Ginger Martini was wonderful and so refreshingly different.\r
\r
Our party started out with an appetizer of baked cheese on a bed of seared onions. We all shared two lamb dishes - one in a lovely red sauce, and one dish of tender lamb chops sparsely but teasingly seasoned with cilantro, chicken in a creamy coconut sauce, and vegetables in a coconut seasoned sauce, and the classic but humbly delicious spinach -with- cheese- dish found in most Indian restaurants.\r
Warning: Even after eating a full feast at Rangmahal, one will not be able to resist the desserts!\r
\r
The lovely lady who took our orders was charming and attentive without being invasive, and the chef was not only accessible , but treated us like friends or even family...\r
\r
Bravo, Rangmahal! We will be back for more!
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, great food, great place to celebrate anything
Cons: none that I could think of
