No doubt about it, Jack's has charm, and the location is unbeatable. We DO go there, just because it is so handy....but the bbg is no better than ""good"". You CAN get really good ribs there...but more often then not they are pulled out too early and are tough and a bit chewy, from lack of adequate cooking. They do have an unusual and great Carolina mustard-based sauce, which is to their credit. The side dishes are pretty weak. The cornbread is downright vile, with the mac and cheese, beans, etc tasting no better than canned.\r

If it weren't right there on Broadway I can't imagine anyone making the trip. Not with Neely's in town, which really IS a great place.\r
