I have never in my life seen a sushi restaurant anywhere in the country that can provide portions like Yami Sushi's at a very, very reasonable price. For example, the Sashimi Appetizer could honestly be an entire meal, as the pieces of fish are twice or three times as large as anywhere else in Atlanta. Likewise, the fried rolls that are five pieces of sushi (such as the tuna crunch) are meals in themselves. I could not finish mine. The downside is, at least in the experience of my wife and me on a Friday evening, that the quality was lacking compared to other Atlanta sushi. The sashimi was tough and the tuna crunch tried to be a gourmet dish but fell way short in breading and texture. On the other hand, a (non-sushi) asparagus tempura appetizer was enjoyable. Perhaps there was a new sushi chef on the night we visited, but I would urge you to bring a big appetite and try various simpler dishes to test the quality first.
Pros: Best sushi portions I've ever seen, great service, nice ambience
Cons: Sushi quality was questionable for our visit
