After a particularly trying day, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We sure picked the right place to go--Bacaro. We were shown upstairs where we had a beautiful view of the river as the sunset. The aromas, as we passed the open kitchen, made us anxious to order our meal. We began with the Salumeria menu, ordering prosciutto, cheeses, dry sausages, olives and the best grilled pizza ever. For our entrees, we chose butter-poached sea scallops with mushrooms, wood-grilled rib eye and Bacaro carbonara. Our server on task and his recommended wine selections were a fine complement to each course. Though we were full we couldn't pass up ordering a special dessert to share-- Mascarpone cheese cake and the house churned vanilla ice cream. The meal was extraordinary. The service was superb. Bacaro-- we will be back!!
