I'm incredibly shaken after my experience tonight at The Globe in Larchmont. Three friends and I got together this evening with the hopes of sharing an enjoyable meal and great conversation. Instead, I left the restaurant shocked at the behavior of both the management and wait staff. After an obvious oversight by the management regarding the amount we had left for the tip (there were 2 credit card transactions completed and the tip was split between the two) he approached our table to inquire whether our experience was unsatisfactory. He then went on to berate us as to the amount that we had left for the tip all while we were trying to explain the misunderstanding on his part. He finally realized his mistake and only apologized by saying that he had to look out for his staff. As my friends and I were walking out the door our waitress followed us out and called us ""trash."" She then quickly retreated back into the restaurant. We confronted her about what was said and she lied to us saying that she had simply told us to, ""Have a good night."" The proper course of action would have been to fire anyone on staff for speaking to a customer in such a disgraceful way but the waitress was only made to apologize after I insisted. I'm incredibly saddened by my experience tonight and would strongly urge you to consider taking your business elsewhere. The Globe hardly provides the kind of environment that I enjoy when I'm having a meal out with family or friends. I also encourage you to rely this experience to anyone else you may know so as to prevent situations like the one tonight from happening again.
