I took my husband to Blue Pete's last night for a special ""First Father's Day Dinner"". I wanted to try something different and something that he had never had before. He is a manager at a restaurant and is pretty critical about service and food. He loves to cook, so I wanted to take him somewhere where he could try something different! I surprised him with this restaurant. When we first pulled up, he had no idea where he was. Blue Pete's is located out in the middle of nowhere, which I love! I made reservations the night before and when we walked in, they knew just who we were and seemed very happy to see us! That made me feel really good. We got a nice table right by the window overlooking the water. The table scape was set up very nicely and cleanly. The hostess introduced the server by name and we were given an opportunity to look over the menu. Once our server, Richard, came over, he was very personable, offering his favorite dishes to us. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. The food was wonderful! My husband ate everything off of his plate and even some of mine! We received a very good amount of food for the price and the wine was delicious! We also ordered dessert and we were very pleased with that as well! As we were about to leave, the manager, Paul, came over to our table to see how our dinner was. This was very professional and we appreciated this very much. My husband had a wonderful dinner and we plan to go back very soon! This restaurant may have received bad reviews in the past, but it is now under new management and is definitely worth another visit!!!
