I'm from out of town, but have been a patron of Genova's for years. They've recently changed their 'doing business as' name to Vinnie Pizza becase it's been their legal name since the beginning. When a tornado took down their old sign, they decided there was no better time to make the legal name official. Being from out of town, I did not know about this, so you can imagine my hesitation when I read the new name. When I walked in the restaurant I was so happy to see the original owners and some of their kids still preparing the pizza, subs and dinners like old times. There is one wonderful change, a grand-daughter has been born and visits the restaurant with her always-smiling mother frequently. In this age, it's extremely refreshing to walk in to a family-owned restaurant; chain restaurants can never offer the character that Vinnie and his family create.
Pros: Awesome food, friendly service, cheap prices
Cons: Nothing
