Disappointing for fine dining. 5/24/2008

I can give no more then an average rating for this restauarant.. To start he Thai ginger soup was very good. My soup was warm, not hot, my wife had two tablespoons that were fine but the third burnt the roof of her mouth as she took a sip from an extremely hot spot as if warmed by a micro wave. The dinner rolls were not very fresh or tasty but the sweet butter was good. We shared some calamari before the main course which was slightly rubbery. The sauce was very nice and somehwat spicy which we liked but the peppers were a little too hot ( and we like spicy food). My wife did not think the peppers were fresh but from a can. They had a funny taste to them. For the main dish I had the osso bucco which I love. Unfortunately , it was not very good. It was not cooked nearly enough as it should easily flake off the bone but was instead tough. It was tasteless with absolutely no flavor infusion whatsoever. It tasted like it was boiled in water for most of the cooking time. The sause was good but as I said not infused in the meat as it should be. I put plenty of salt on it but it still did not do much to improve it.. My wife orderd the crusty tuna. She asked that it not be over cooked. It wasn't, but the middle was sushi, quite raw. She said the tuna tasted good but not cooked enough to be even considered rare. The service was very good and the restaurant was nice. Pros: Good service Cons: Below average food. more
