Yesterday I took my small, shaggy, messy terrier mix for his first visit to this groomer. She was looking at a challenge - first, an owner who wants her dog to spend as little time as possible at the groomers, specifically that he not be crated (he was in a crate for 3 months following Katrina, and he has abandonment issues). Then, she had to deal with an owner who has a hard time describing what sort of cut was desired. She asked many questions to get to an understanding. Then, there was my dog, who had tromped through a creek a week prior to the appointment and not brushed out - he was pretty tangled. \r
Just a little more than two hours later, my little guy was clean and cut to cuteness. Best of all, he was not quivering when I picked him up, nor did he go hide under the bed when we got home (as he usually does after a trip to the groomer).
