I took my dog in to have a skin growth evaluated a few weeks ago. I stood at the front desk 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged that I was there. We were taken to an exam room and the tech did not interact with my dog at all. She came up behind her, grabbed her leg, and stuck a needle in her vein to draw blood. Then she told me the doctor would be in to see my dog in 5 minutes. 25 minutes later the doctor finally comes in. Even the doctor didn't interact with my dog to make her feel more at ease. My dog is very sociable and loving and is not accustomed to being treated the way she was in that clinic. My dog was upset the rest of the day. I went ahead and scheduled surgery to remove the growth in 2 weeks. The clinic refused to give me an estimate of the cost until I brought her in the day of the surgery.
