After wearing a white dress once, I discovered a small stain on the back of it. I brought the dress to Town & Country cleaners only to find (when I picked it up a week later) that part of the dress had been shredded during the cleaning process. I was first told that I dropped it off in that condition (which I did not), then I was told that it was the manufacturer?s fault and that this type of adornment could not be cleaned without being ruined. After pointing out that I left the dress in their responsibility and that if it couldn?t be cleaned than they shouldn?t have cleaned it, I was informed that they ?did not know? the fabric would fray and they weren?t responsible. I took the dress to the store I bought it at (BCBG) at which the sales lady showed me 6 other dresses with the same hem line and unequivocally stood by the opinion that they cleaners ruined my dress.
