I'm so very upset with my experience at Monty's\r
\r
The night started out promising. We knew there was a piano bar, so we showed up an hour early for our reservations, thinking we'd enjoy a nice drink at the bar. But to our surprise they were able to seat us when we were ready. GREAT\r

I started with the Oysters and hated it. My Husband had the shrimp cocktail and it was ok. For the main course I ordered the Bone-In Fillet Mignon, which was a spacial for the evening. Jack ordered the overpriced Porterhouse.\r
The service was slow, it took over an hour to get our main dish. I always ask for my steak Medium-rare. What I got was rare. I was not happy. I showed the waiter my steak.. he tried to explain it was because I was close to the bone. My first thought was, you never argue with the customer and just take it back to the kitchen. While, I tried to find a better cooked part of my steak, Jack sat silently eating his Porterhouse. (Which usually means it's nothing to write home about.) I tried a bite and was not impressed.\r
At this point, I was all by happy to stop eating my steak. I made sure to turn the steak upright so the next time our waiter came to ask us how we were he'd see it. And sure enough, he did and exclaimed "" wow, that is really rare"" Well, no duh.. that's what I had tried to tell him 20 minutes ago when I was still interested in the steak. He offered to take it back and have it cooked some more... I flatly told him I was over it and didn't want it. He tried to get back into my good graces by offering me a free desert.. I declined. I was ready to go.\r
The biggest kicker was when the bill came. Jack's ""all-right"" porterhouse cost us 65 dollars. Twice the price of my steak. That topped off the night, but us agreeing never go come back.\r

So all in all.. neither of our steaks were great.. or even worth mention to that matter. Next time, we'll go to Saddle Peak Lodge.
