As far as good Greek food in Dallas, Stratos holds the torch. It's just too bad they're not closer! In fact, they're kinda out-of-the-way for most people, I've found, but well worth the drive. They're located on Northwest Highway, near Bachman Lake. I've been dining there for years, I was first introduced to the place when I worked in Irving. It's my favorite place for Greek food & happy hour. They have $3 drinks from open-close everyday except Friday & Saturday, when it ends @ 8pm. They also have free wi-fi so it's common to see laptops & business meetings there.\r
The owner Nick is very hands-on, he's usually there when I visit, otherwise at least one of his family members is. They obviously have a lot of pride in the restaurant, they're always welcoming & recognize their regulars. Most of the servers have been with them a while, too. They've been around since 2001 & being able to make it in that neighborhood, which is off the beaten path, they're obviously doing good business for a reason! My favorite feature at Stratos is the video shots of Greece that play throughout the restaurant on large projector screens. It's so beautiful to see & makes most who watch it yearn to travel to Greece. \r
I always enjoy dining at Stratos, it's a great place to go casually or for a formal meal. I can't say that about most places, at Stratos the atmosphere is condusive to both: granite-top lounge tables for large parties, booths for smaller ones, & an incredible covered patio w/ TVs. The food is incredible, you can tell it's made there and not pre-packaged and frozen, which is what I've found at most Greek places. Howard Stern says they have the ""Best Gyro in Dallas"" & everyone I've taken there for one agrees. The tzatziki sauce is to die for! Nick says they make everything from scratch each morning. They offer generous portions, and specials regularly to keep the patrons coming back.\r

I just wanted to put in a good word for the place, it's one of my favorite spots in Dallas.
