I was looking for a great local Chinese Restaurant and decided to try Al Palace tonight after reading Many favorable reviews. I am truly Disappointed. The first thing that caught my attention is why the hell is the floor extremely slippery...Man, this place must use a lot of oil. The second thing, No people of Asian descent dining in the restaurant, that is a bad sign. We ordered 4 dishes. The War won Ton was very good, hence the 2. The Szechuan Beef was bland, No spice and oddly chewy beef. The Cantonese Noodles tasted off and Smelled badddddddd. The Orange Chicken did not have a crispy exterior but somehow the chicken inside was extremely tough. The chicken also was wayyyy past it's prime and I had to actually spitt out several pieces before giving up on this dish. Everything tasted as if it had been pre-cooked and stored in a refrigerator for the past month and then re-heated right before serving up this garbage. My wife said the meat smelled like a 5 day old homicide scene in Coachella. In August.
Pros: Price
Cons: Food
