Granted, I am on a budget, in a non-budget friendly location?That is not to say, that I am unwilling to pay for good food. I agree with most of the previous comments. The establishment is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Nothing about the flavor stood out, good or bad. It is of course a simple dish. The takeout dinner portion was packed in a tin the size of a small paperback novel?Like the grapes of wrath, not war and peace! I have taken home bigger leftover portions. There were 3 pieces of chicken and 3 maybe 4 small shrimp. The cost with tax was over $15! I love the Gables and understand that it cost more to eat out in upscale areas. Pad Thai is what you get for takeout when you don?t want to cook, not a splurge on special occasions. If you are hungry and on a budget, I would not recommend Bangkok Bangkok II. If budget is no concern then you have probably already stopped reading?
