My husband and I stayed here for a few days in August. The owners were really friendly when we got there and showed us around the house. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. I think they bill themselves as a ""european style guesthouse"" and I would agree with that. The kitchen (which you share with other guests) wasn't great, mostly because the stove didn't work. But there was a nice terrace off the kitchen where we ate our dinner one night. The guesthouse is within walking distance of all of downtown portland (if you're willing to walk about 20 min) but it's really close to a Trader Joe's, restaurants and shops in a really nice part of Portland. You can also walk (uphill) to the Japanese Garden and International Rose Test Garden. Overall, it was a great location and cheaper than a hotel of similar caliber.
