This is a comfortable, kind of a hole in the wall place without a lot of frills, but the fish is really clear and they take a lot of pains with the rice. It's an open kitchen, so you can watch them make it- really old school stuff. The tempura's flash-fried in rice bran oil, making it very light, with no residue at all. The service can be uneven when it gets busy but the chefs and the wait staff are personable and can even be hilarious.
Pros: Homestyle sushi done to the old standards
Cons: Hard to get into the place
