First thing's first.. this is not NY pizza. Don't expect that when you order it despite the name. We ordered delivery. This was our first try of Joe Peep's NY Pizza. Something I've found about LA (which is definitely different than NY) they charge delivery charges and some times hefty ones at that. Joe Peep's charged $4 on top. Seems a bit steep and puts me in an awkward position about what to tip the driver. Well, we ordered the 18"" Blue Collar (thin) pizza. Thick crust is not something I like (even from Totono's in NY). We always order the first pie plain to try it out for what it is.. Cheese and sauce were ok.. just ok. Crust was crisp and thin.. definitely some corn meal used which is never ok. Another reviewer mentioned it was Domino's-ish. It kind of was but a few small steps up. Other reviewers commented on the garlic in the sauce.. it seemed fine to me. Nothing stood out. The 18"" is a big pie with many small slices. Oh, skip the wings. They're oily and nasty. They came with ranch too.. no blue cheese and celery. I've tried a few pizza places in the area searching for that great pie and so far the only one that has had the best flavor (despite having too much oil though) has been Vitello's in Studio City.
