I had been going to this two-vet clinic for three years. My vet apparently was the non-owner of the clinic.\r

One of my dogs has developed significant health problems. He has been having diagnostic tests for almost two weeks. I talked to my vet on Wednesday about running more tests before doing exploratory surgery. \r

I dropped my dog off for the testing on Thursday, and when we picked the dog up Thursday evening, a new vet was there. Apparently the practice was sold. The vet who had been treating my dog was gone.\r

I have no opinion about the qualifications of the vet who purchased the practice. However, the owner of the clinic should have given the clients some notice that this was happening. \r

I cannot imaging this scenario occurring in other professions. Think about it. What would your reaction be to going into your lawyer's office or doctor's office and finding out that the practice had been sold overnight. The new owner is there, acting like you would just continue the rel
