This is a very poor example of a middle school. Many of the things the sixth graders do, are things that they have already done in elementary school. Most importantly, the emphasis remains on sports, even though this school is on ""probation"", academically. Multiple sports assemblies and one academic assembly at the end of the year. There is basically no positive reinforcement or incentives. Assemblies rountinely involve yelling.....how to do better,etc. ""Advisory"" class is a real waste of time.
Pros: good gifted and talented program
Cons: parking lot, lack of academic emphasis
