I went to Joseph Freda based on the reviews of Citysearch, but this was the biggest mistake I've ever made when it comes to a hairdresser. I brought 3 different pictures of the haircut and color I wanted to show Joseph and when I left it looked nothing like the pictures. If Joseph spent half the time listening to what I had asked for instead of boasting about how wonderful he is, I probably would have had an okay cut and color. He does not listen, continuously brags about himself and makes you very uncomfortable. He cut my hair first and before he cut it too short I had reminded him of what I wanted in the haircut. He acknowledged what I had said and kept cutting how HE wanted to cut my hair. I have very dark brown hair and then he stripped my hair of all its color. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror and it was bright orange. He laughed and called me ""Lucy"". He then highlighted it with blonde, another reddish color and an ashy brown. Needless to say, it was hideous. Then he tried to correct it with a darker color and it still looked terrible. At this point I had been in the salon for 7 hours and just wanted to go home. He then told me that he wanted to get to his next client. I left the salon with a terrible haircut and color and will never return. Buyers beware of Joseph Freda. His 34 years of experience has made him tired.
