Hello Citysearch! Well, here it goes... my first review. I can't say for sure what makes me an expert on the nightlife or the vast dining scene in Los Angeles. I am hardly a ""foodie"", I've never worked in the restaurant industry, hell, I?m not even that good of a cook! What I am though is a regular guy who appreciates a good meal, a cold beer, and a little respect from the person who I plan to show appreciation to when the check arrives. I love places like the Rainbow on Sunset, Musso & Franks and Miceli's in ""old"" Hollywood, Taylor's in K-Town, you know... comfortable, cozy. I am a true L.A. native and I've seen most trends that most transplants here find so fascinating come and go. I don't need all the bells and whistles and almost as a rule I try to avoid the new ""place to be"" if possible (which is why I was a bit hesitant to meet my girl and her friends at the Velvet Margarita) but I was pleasantly surprised by what could be a new favorite...
