I've been a resident at Traverse Mountain for about 1 and a half years now. I love it up here. The views are amazing. From my home I can see all of Utah Lake and the surrounding mountains. The freeway access couldn't be better. It only takes about 2 minutes to get to the freeway from my home. I commute to Provo daily, and it takes me about 20 minutes to get to work. Living here gives me the freedom of changing jobs between Provo and SLC and not worrying about a significant commute.
Being right across the freeway from Thanksgiving Point (thanksgivingpoint dot com) is also a huge plus. They have a very reasonable (and tax deductible) membership program that allow unlimited access to most of their attractions for a year. We frequently go to the Dinosaur Museum, Farm Country, and Gardens. The place is great for families with kids.
An elementary school is planned for the middle of the development. That will likely be built in the next couple years. A popular private school (Challenger School) is scheduled to open this fall right at the entrance to Traverse Mountain.
My only frustration with the area has been with the developer's under-delivery of promised amenities. They've got several parks, trails, etc that have been promised but haven't materialized yet. However, there is still plenty to do in area to keep us busy.
