I would not recommend going with this lawyer (because you should trust your lawyer) but if you do decide to be very careful. Keep a very close eye on the fees, ask questions regarding the charges and most importantly request IN WRITING from the beginning that you be notified beforehand of any extra charges. I did have a bad experience with this lawyer and it was because I wasn?t alert enough to realize the cost had increased by 100%, all of a sudden. She had stated in a letter that she would get my authorization beforehand if the cost would increase substantially and I guess a 100% increase was not ?substantial? to her. The trust factor is the disappointing part.
Her involvement was also not what I expected. I felt I had to drive a lot and the other sides lawyer did most of the paperwork, this is another reason that supports why I didn?t feel this should have not cost me what it did, but that is a separate issue. My main concern and warning is to meticulously monitor what you are being charged.
