I just read the previous review and as a 20 year dog breeder I felt the need to respond. I have used Colonial for my veterinary care for 15 years and I am extremely pleased with them. I have my puppies docked within the first 3 days. After 3 days the procedure can be too painful without anesthesia. I usually try to have it done on the second day but that can vary due to scheduling issues. An experienced breeder knows that puppy mortality is highest during those first few days and there are many stress factors that can cause newborn puppies to die. With my 20 years of experience I still probably have a 1% mortality rate. I doubt the vet told the previous reviewer they could not come in as I can always get an appointment. I suspect he told them there was minimal veterinary care available for a 2 day old pup. A experienced breeder knows nursing care is most important thing these newborns. I have hand fed numerous puppies over the years. I strongly recommend Colonial Animal Ho
