I recently purchased my wedding gown at L'Elite bridal and the experience quickly became the nightmare of my wedding. I had three fittings before they shipped the dress to the location of my wedding. When I tried on the dress a couple of days before the wedding, we realized that the bottom two layers of the dress were still pinned up and had never been sewn! How they managed to put the dress in a box without realizing the pins escapes me. In addition the top layers of the skirt had been cut too short to salvage and the bustle was so poorly done we could not image what they did to the dress. When we realized the mistakes we immediately contacted the store. They were extremely unprofessional and the various people in the store actually yelled at us on the phone for several minutes not letting us get a word in edgewise. They eventually admitted their mistake (You can't argue with pins still in the dress!) and sent me the sample gown from their collection because mine was beyond repair. We had to hire a seamstress locally to do the alterations days before the wedding. After going back and forth with them, we were promised L?Elite would pay for the cost of the local seamstress to redo the alterations. They have never paid or apologized. At the end of the day I spent I spent over $10,000 on my dress and alterations in addition to purchasing 3 bridesmaids dresses from them ($1,000+). In addition they were sending us an invoice for the alterations THEY delivered and when we refused to pay them they threatened us. The customer service was awful and they were not sympathetic or apologetic for the stress they caused. On my wedding day I wore a sample gown when I had paid for a new gown and double alterations.\r
To all future brides I would recommend reading online reviews for any vendor you are looking to hire. If I had done this I would have realized L'Elite is consistently rated very poorly and would have purchased the same gown elsewhere.
