I haven't been to Rex's for several years now, but used to go often with my in-laws. This place is a neighborhood institution. Wonderful breakfast, friendly service (servers are long term employees). Good basic traditional food. Very inexpensive and a family friendly place. The crowd is mostly older citizens of the neighborhood who have been going for years. The regulars and employees are very nice and welcoming, particularly to kids. We would often stop at Rex's on our way to other city attractions, such as the Zoo, the Arch, etc. or with out of town guests. Relatives from out of town always loved Rex's, these little neighborhood restaraunts are so much better than IHOP or Denny's. I need to go back soon! Recommended.
