I went to Ruth's in Santa Barbara and the service, atmosphere and side orders were excellent and the steak I ordered was a big letdown. The mediium rare porterhouse steak I ordered looked tough from the outside and was even tougher to chew on. Even one of the people who was sitting at my table said, ""That steak looks tough."" I can get a steak just as good for about 1/3 of the price. I hope I just got the wrong impresson of Ruth's. Porterhouse Bistro in Beverly Hills is so much better.
